Notes of Support for Lee Becoming an Autonomous School

Now is your chance to help Lee become a Small Autonomous School! The Board of Education will vote to either approve or not approve Lee as a Small Autonomous School on May 13th.

You can help by taking a moment to state your support of Lee becoming a Small Autonomous School! You can e-mail your note of support to leeartspta (please use "Support" as your subject line) or you can send it to school with your child. Please provide your notes by May 3rd. I will deliver all of the notes/letters to the district office so that they can be given to the Board of Education members the week before their vote.

Your note of support could be lengthy and detailed, or it could be something as simple as:

Dear Board of Education Members,

I am a parent of a second grade student at Lee Expressive Arts Elementary School and I support Lee becoming a Small Autonomous School.

Thank you,

Your Name

This is an incredibly exciting moment in our school’s future! Becoming an Autonomous School could provide many opportunities for our students by providing Lee with more control over its budget, curriculum, schedule, and more. Please help to make this a reality by showing the Board of Education that you support Lee becoming a Small Autonomous School!

If you would like to review Lee’s Autonomous School Proposal, you can download it from the Lee School website: http://service.columbia.k12.mo.us/lee/

Many thanks!
