Dar Hosta Library Event

Mrs. Canepa just sent this information about a library event with Dar Hosta, the author/artist who is coming to Lee tomorrow. Contact the Columbia Public Library if you are interested in registering! Many thanks to Mrs. Canepa for bringing in this author/artists to work with our students tomorrow, and for passing along the information below about Saturday’s event!

Dar Hosta, tomorrow’s visiting author/artist, will be presenting at the public library this Saturday. If there are students who want to learn more about her or share her with their families, they can register and attend the program at the public library. Her books will also be for sale at the public library.

Celebrate art and writing with Dar Hosta. Now based in New Jersey, Dar is a former Columbian and a Hickman/Mizzou alumna. Find out how she creates her illustrations and collages and participate in an art & writing mini-workshop that will engage kids and parents alike. Dar has published six picture books and works as a fine artist, too. Books will be available for sale and signing afterwards. Families, ages 5 and older. Registration begins Tuesday, January 8.
