Don’t miss this opportunity to shape the future of Lee! Join us next Tuesday, January 8th from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. to share your thoughts and ideas about Lee becoming an Autonomous School. As parents, this is our chance to provide feedback to the Proposal document before it is presented to the Board of Education in the spring! The meeting will be held in the school’s Media Center and free childcare will be provided.
The Proposal document is posted on the Lee School website: http://service.columbia.k12.mo.us/lee. To view the document, click on the blue link "Autonomous School Proposal–Click here to view document up for discussion at PTA meeting on January 8th." (This link is just below the red School Transportation Survey link in the center field of the webpage.)
At the December PTA meeting, teacher Kara Johnson provided a wonderful presentation that gave an overview of what becoming an Autonomous School would mean for Lee and what work has been done to date by the Autonomous School Steering Committee. This power point presentation is posted on the Lee School website for your review. To check it out, go to http://service.columbia.k12.mo.us/lee and click on “Parent Info” at the top of the web page, then click on the “PTA Autonomous School Presentation” link in the chart.
This is a tremendously exciting time for our school! We hope that you will join us on Tuesday to share your thoughts and ideas!
