I just got the wonderful news that Ragtag will provide a matinee showing of the acclaimed movie Hugo at 1 p.m. on January 21st (it’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so there is no school)! This special matinee is being provided for us as a prelude to this year’s Silent Film/Silent Art Auction, which will feature the silent films of Georges Melies (these are the silent films featured in Hugo). The Silent Film/Silent Art Auction will take place on February 9th from 3 – 6 pm, and the Melies films will be accompanied by a live motion picture orchestra and vocalists!
Many thanks to Ragtag’s Tracy Lane for providing this wonderful event for us! Please mark your calendars and share these dates with your friends and family–it would be great to fill Ragtag on January 21st and the Missouri Theatre on February 9th!
