What an incredible year and what an amazing community we have at Lee! Thank you parents, caregivers, teachers, staff, grandparents, and all the friends of Lee that have made this year so wonderful for our children!
As you begin your summer, here are some dates you might want to mark on your calendar. The Missouri Symphony is offering Lee School students and teachers FREE admission to their SymFunny Family Series. Those concerts are:
Compose Yourself, June 10, 3 pm, featuring a look at how the orchestra is composed and how to compose for it with 16-year-old composer Daphne Yu, plus our ever-popular "instrumental petting zoo" and "how to be a semiconductor."
Peter and the Wolf, June 24, 3 pm. Paul Pepper narrates Peter and the Wolf as the Missouri Symphony Orchestra welcomes Ronald McDonald and performs works by all the big "Macs" – MacDowell, McBride and Maxwell Davies.
This Land is Your Land, July 1, 3 pm. A concert celebrating our youth and our heritage. Young musicians from the Missouri Symphony Conservatory Strings ‘n Things Camp perform the best of music that salutes the flag side-by-side with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra.
Attached is a brochure of the Missouri Symphony Summer Music Series events. Thank you for sharing this information with us, Mrs. Altomari!
Also, our PTA Summer Planning Meeting will be July 28 at 10 a.m. Please join us to share your thoughts and ideas about next year! I will send out more information about the meeting and location closer to time.
Wishing you all a wonderful summer!
