Traffic Safety and Parking at Lee

Traffic safety and parent parking has been an ongoing concern at Lee and we just got approved to share these concerns with the City Council at their March 5th meeting. We need your input! We will be speaking on behalf of the school so we want to make sure we are accurately voicing your concerns and suggestions.

Everyone is invited to share their thoughts and ideas at a Traffic Safety and Parking meeting after school on Thursday, March 2nd in the Media Center at 3:50 p.m. Posted here is a rough draft of concerns and possible solutions for your review. This document is intended to serve as a starting point for the conversation and result in a final document that we can provide to City Council members. If you can’t attend the meeting but would like to provide comments or suggestions, please e-mail them to leeartspta or call Amy Sarver at 514-4384.

Everyone is also welcome and encouraged to attend the City Council meeting on March 5th at 7 p.m. The meeting takes place at the City Council Chamber at 701 E. Broadway. At this meeting, there will also be the opportunity for public comment on the rezoning proposal for the block of Locust just west of Lee. The rezoning is sure to have an impact on traffic and parking, so it will also be beneficial to have the opportunity to share thoughts or concerns regarding those plans.

We are hopeful that we can make headway into some changes that will improve the safety for our children and prevent parents and volunteers from being ticketing when they are sharing their time with the school.

Many thanks for your voicing your concerns and helping us take the next step!
